The Critical Thinking SIG, with support from Kyoto JALT Chapter, invites presentation proposals for the upcoming conference Critical Thinking in the Classroom 2025, to be held on Saturday, August 2nd, 2025, at Setsunan University’s Neyagawa Campus.

This event brings together educators and researchers interested in exploring how critical thinking can be nurtured and applied in language education. We welcome proposals that address classroom practices, research, materials development, teacher training, or institutional initiatives—so long as they engage with critical thinking in language education in some way.

The Kyoto Chapter has one presentation slot available at the conference and may use it in any way they choose: individual presentation, forum, panel, or other format.

If interested, please submit your proposal by June 20, 2025.

We look forward to your ideas and to showcasing the diverse ways critical thinking can enrich language learning.
